Do Not Forget To Close Out Your Mailbox!
Please make sure to close out your mailboxes before you graduate, attend a semester abroad, or leave Mason for more than one semester. Click here to fill out the closing form and then turn your key in at the customer service desk in The Hub. You can forward your mail for 90 days domestically. Use the mailbox closing form to forward your mail. Not closing your mailbox may result in a hold on your account.
Packages may be picked up at the Hub – Powered by Canon area on the lower level of The Hub building. Packages will be placed in Smart Lockers, Powered by Q-Trak. When packages are received, an email will be sent to your George Mason University email. The email will contain the smart locker number and pin code required to retrieve your package. Oversized or specialty packages will be stored behind the counter.
If you have not received your package, please bring the tracking information to the mailroom help desk or fill out this form in order for us to track it. If the package does not have tracking information (i.e. a first class package), please stop by the customer service window after 4 p.m. and we will check our package system for you.
Get Your Own Campus Mailbox Number!
Students living on campus are assigned a mailbox number in The Hub mailroom by default. However, you must register with Mason Mail Services to retrieve your mail. This may be done either in person at the service desk (in The Hub) or electronically by using this form. If your details are not visible in our database, Housing and Residence Life needs to be contacted to obtain proof of residency for registration.
Mail will be stored behind the counter in secure file folders. Please go to the main counter and provide your mailbox number and student ID to retrieve mail.
Students living off campus may rent mailboxes at the customer service window in The Hub for six months or a year. The rates are $25.00 for six months and $40.00 for one year. Here you will be given your mailbox number
